One way to immigrate from overseas to europe (and to Hamburg) is using a ship: people doing this are called BlindePassagiere (stowaways). Since a few years the group BlindePassagiere is organizing guided harbour roundtrips (Hafen-Rundfahrten) by vessel about the situation of stowaways in the harbour of Hamburg.

Reimer Dohrn about the harbour roundtrip BlindePassagiere: "The ways, how blind passengers arrive on sea-going vessels at the port of Hamburg and disappear again, are dark as the night, through which this nocturnal harbour roundtrip leads us. With slides shown within and outside of the launch we bring light into in the darkness of the degrading practice of the authorities of the city of Hamburg concerning stowaways. The plans for the HafenCity (it won´t have nothing to do with a "port") already have crucial influence for the stowaways and their possibilities to escape. Two years ago, the Africa terminal (where most of the ships from Africa arrive) was in the planning area, now it is located in the immediate vicinity of the central guard of the harbour police".

Reimer Dohrn über die Hafenrundfahrt BlindePassagiere: "Die Wege wie Blinde Passagiere, die im Hamburger Hafen auf Seeschiffen ankommen, wieder verschwinden, sind so dunkel wie die Nacht, durch die diese Hafenrundfahrt führt. Mit Dias innerhalb und außerhalb der Barkasse bringen wir Licht ins Dunkel der menschenverachtenden Praxis Hamburger Behörden. Die Planungen für die Elb-City (mit Hafen wird das ja nichts zu tun haben) haben bereits heute entscheidenden Einfluss auf die Fluchtbedingungen. Bis vor zwei Jahren, war das Afrika-Terminal im Planungsgebiet, jetzt liegt es
gegenüber der Zentralwache der Waschpo".
